1. What NuePlugin is

NuePlugin is a set of local tools and a website. The tools run on your computer, driven by a coding agent you bring, and help you make a plugin of your own using a plugin you own as the reference. The website hosts documentation, accounts, and a community where people publish and download matches as open format files. By using either you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You need an account to publish. Keep your sign-in method and access tokens to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with them. One person, one account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

3. What you promise about the plugins you use

Everything you match, you do on your own machine. When you use a plugin as a reference you confirm that:

• you own it or hold a licence that allows you to use it, and
• you comply with that licence.

NuePlugin does not copy, redistribute or run anyone else's software. Whether a particular use is permitted by the licence of a plugin you own is your responsibility, not ours.

4. Publishing to the community

When you publish a match you give it a name and a description and upload a format file, a report and preview audio.

You keep your rights. You own what you publish. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, review, sign, display and distribute it through the community for as long as it stays published, and you grant other users a licence to download and use it for making music.

Rules for published matches.

• Name and describe a match by what it does and how it sounds. Do not use third-party trademarks, product names or brand names anywhere in it.
• Do not state or hint which plugin a match was made from. We never show it either.
• Only publish work you made with plugins you were entitled to use, and only under these terms.
• Nothing unlawful, hateful or deceptive; no malware; no spam.

Submissions pass an automated review and may be looked at by a person. We may decline, remove or unpublish anything at our discretion, and we will remove content in response to valid takedown notices.

5. Takedowns

If you believe something published here infringes your rights, write to the contact address on this page with: what you own, where the infringing item is, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We will remove the item promptly and notify the publisher, who may respond. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

6. Open format and Player

Format files use an open specification and are loaded by our open-source runtime. The runtime and the specification carry their own open-source licences, which apply to them. Published format files are signed by us so the Player can trust them; that signature says the file passed our review, nothing more.

7. What we do not promise

The tools report a tier for every stage of a match. Tiers and reports describe what was measured on your machine; they are not a guarantee of a result, of sound quality, or of fitness for any purpose. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may change or stop features, including the community, at any time.

8. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of NuePlugin. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of USD 100 and what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending things

You can stop using NuePlugin and ask us to delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 4 (licence to what you published, until you unpublish), 7, 8 and 10 survive.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of a jurisdiction to be specified before launch. Disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to sue at home.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell you on the site or by email. Continuing to use NuePlugin after that means you accept them.
