Getting started
One command installs the local tools. Your agent does the rest.
Before you start
You need a Mac with any coding agent that speaks MCP (Claude, ChatGPT, Kimi or others), and a plugin you own installed on that Mac as AU or VST3. Nothing else. The plugin never leaves your machine; neither does any audio.
Install
Run the installer once. It registers the NuePlugin MCP server with your agent and puts the headless host on your PATH. The command below is a placeholder until the package name is final.
- npx nueplugin@latest init
Ask for a match
In your agent, say which installed plugin you want as your own. The agent lists what it found, runs the tier probes, and shows you the gate: which tier each stage can reach, roughly how long, roughly how many tokens. Nothing runs until you say go.
When it finishes, the plugin shows up in your DAW with the evidence report beside it.
